Suspension is the daily email that makes you the most informed car person in the room.
Car news comes from more than 560 sources: RSS feeds, Reddit, YouTube, podcasts, SEC filings, OEM pressrooms, economic data. Suspension reads all of it every day and sends one email with what’s worth knowing: where outlets disagree, what the underlying data shows that a press release doesn’t, and what quietly got walked back a week later.
I’m Ryan Williams. I build Suspension, and before it I built Car Curious, a car-podcast discovery platform. Both come from the same problem: the good sources publish more every day than one person can read, so something has to read it for you.
I read and edit every issue before it goes out. AI gathers the sources and drafts the first pass. I decide what leads and what gets cut, and whether a source supports the claim it is cited for. I check the figures against the primary source, and when I get one wrong, the next issue says so.
